There are some pretty shady character’s out there disguising themselves as children of GOD. But, let’s make it perfectly clear…it’s just not the GOD of the Bible that they worship.
Currently in our society, we are getting a mad rush of preachers who qare preaching many different doctrines, some preach prosperity while others preach that we are to give everything we have to others and keep little to ourselves. This, of course, is just one example…the doctrine we see below is that which the Bible speaks of very clearly.

A Stellar Idea
While researching for this article I came across the “Star of Bethlehem” subject, and I think it fits right into this presentation. Planets can and do orbit the sun at different speeds and distances, and occasionally they do seem to approach each other closely, and even come close to earth. Some stars are very unstable and explode with brilliant blazes, but historical records do not reveal a supernova at the time of Jesus Christ’s birth. Also, multiple planets do not look like a single light source and, The Bible specifically tells us that this was a single light source. It seems this event cannot be explained by science, right? Was this a supernatural event? GOD has often used special, heavenly lights to guide His people, such as the glory that filled the tabernacle (Exod. 40:34-38) and the temple (1 Kings 8:10) and that shone upon the apostle Paul (Acts 9:3). Such are the mysteries which surround us, and have for millennia.
I don’t doubt for one second that the anthropic principle argument is a powerful one! Was the universe designed? Of course! But, we will always have those who believe man will go to the extreme to maintain a belief in origin of things. To me? This is where faith falls into line!
But what about constellations as they apply to Earth and us?

The premise of this entire story relies on an “altar”. An altar unto the Lord. Altar is mentioned over 400 times in the Bible, so it is a pretty serious matter. Worship is an essential element in our spiritual journey in life and many believe we are to continue to build altars to worship, even in our modern times.
For those reared in North American religions worship normally consists of ritualistic ceremonies and repetitive prayers. BUT…upon doing research, you should find that these things are not as they seem. Rituals are something of old…and to me it reminds me of paganism. Combining Christian and Pagan practices was a common event and we see the results of this in our present practices within many churches. Repetitive prayers are practiced in many religions, especially the Roman Catholic/Catholicism.
A perfect example of pagan practices:
“You could have a wooden carving of a Meditating Buddha for those times when you need to strengthen your times of meditation and prayer. You could include a small carving of Horus, the Egyptian God, which is half eagle and half man. It represents the mysteries of the Gods that are beyond human comprehension. You could include a carving of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who helps so much in special requests for children. She has such a special love for children.
There are so many other icons, figurines and carvings that could be included. The Black Madonnas, Ganesh the Hindu god, Kwan Yin, the Chinese Goddess of Compassion, St. Francis of Assisi or many other Catholic saints, Krishna, another Hindu god, are just a few more examples of sacred deities.”

Do you see clearly? That site teaches many Pagan practices, and mixes them with Christian! The Bible warns us of such activities.
Thanks to Jesus Christ, the sacrificial system is out, the need to go through Levitical priests to get to GOD is out, and the need to stand before a particular altar whenever I pray is out!
You see, my body is now the temple. I Corinthians 6:19 says, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
It is my responsibility to build an altar to the Lord in my heart, maintain it, and visit it frequently. So, this is bogus! Remember not to listen to false prophets.

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
